This was my mannequin. Her name is Abigail. I had her for sixteen years, since I was twelve. I developed a desire for a mannequin of my very own after seeing *Silence of the Lambs*; eight out of ten people agree that I am kind of weird.
Basically, this is all about keeping track of the books I read, the television series and films that I watch, the miscellaneous products that I try, and the food and restaurants I’m interested in, as well other things I like to keep a record of, to remind me.
See the aadikah, here and there links category for other stuff I do online, and the listings under Currently to read about what I’m sampling at present.
Mainly, this is all of interest only to me, as it is only all about my interests.
The word aadikah has four syllables: a·a·di·kah. It is pronounced beginning with an “a” sound as in “cat” (“kæt”). Repeat the first to produce the second syllable, e.g. “æ-æ.” The third syllable is like the “di” in “dig.” Finally, the last bit is pronounced like the fourth syllable of “America.” There, that should be about as clear as mud.
Aadikah has no meaning (of which I know). It is a made-up word, formed by pronouncing the four letters of my initials as if they were a word. And it’s mine, all mine!
